Artist Interview
What's the latest piece of art that you have put out into the world?
I have a book coming out with An Gúm in the next few months. It is a story that I wrote and illustrated and it’s about the flowers that grow in Ireland and the importance of bees to the environment.
What drives you to keep creating?
I really can’t image doing anything else.
Is there another artist's work that you would recommend, and why?
There are many inspiring artists in Ireland and beyond so it is hard to choose. A few people whose work I look at regularly are:
Jane Ormes @janeormes
Lotta Jansdotter @lottajansdotter and
Red Cheeks Factory @redcheeksfactory
Do you have any advice for creators that are just starting out?
It’s important to keep going and believe in yourself. There are days for everyone when it’s hard not to feel discouraged but the rewards on the days when things go well always outweigh any doubts.
Where can we find your work?
